1st grade

In First Grade, we have a lot of fun while engaging with interactive curriculum based activities and lessons! In our classroom we emphasize the importance of kindness, love and respect, as well as the beauty of being different. Students will learn a myriad of concepts from addition and subtraction strategies, how plants grow and how sounds are caused by vibrations, how to create complete and descriptive sentences, and so much more! We participate in many beautiful First Grade traditions and partake in educational events such as our First Grade Poetry Slam and Polar Express Day. We love project-based learning and learning through hands-on experiences like our Amazing Monster Show and our City Planning and Building project. And most of all, we put a special emphasis on the journey of learning and the beauty of learning from our mistakes.
